Ralph’s Ends its Recycling Program in Malibu
I just learned Ralph’s is getting rid of their recycling machines and will no longer take empty bottle back inside the store. This is bad news since there is not another place locally where you can redeem bottles for your CVS.
Good news is, behind Ralph’s in Agoura Hills is a Replanet Recycle Center at 5727 Kanan Rd (enter via back alley on Thousand Oaks Blvd). So load up your trunk and next time you are running errands drop your empty glass, cans and bottles at Replanet and get your CRV .
This is, not surprisingly the “BAD”. Charter is trying to manipulate customers moving locally into transferring their cable and internet accounts in lieu of closing them. They attempt to lure you in with the inexpensive $9.00 transfer fee vs the higher new install fee (which varies by your order). However, if you close your current account and open a new account you will be eligible for various promo rates again that easily wipe out the “savings” of a transfer. Because if you take your current account to your new residence as soon as the continuing year is up on it, your rates will skyrocket! Example, I went from $113 a month to $186!! I was able to get it down to $156 by going to our local office but that is still a considerable price increase. Below is the email for the consumer department of the CPUC.
